These answers describe the planned Core program. Confirmed cohort details are published when registration opens.
Fit and learning format
Who is the program for?
High-school students, typically ages 14–18, who are curious about AI, coding or robotics and can commit to regular practice. Local grade equivalents are welcome. Placement depends on readiness, not previous access to expensive equipment.
Does my child need coding or robotics experience?
Prior robotics experience is not required. A readiness assessment checks computer skills, basic reasoning and introductory Python. Students who need preparation can be directed to an optional two-week bridge before Core.
Is this live teaching or a video library?
The planned Core includes two 90-minute live classes each week, independent practice and scheduled team laboratory work. Confirmed schedules and any recording arrangements will be published before enrollment.
How much time does it take?
Plan for approximately five to six hours per week during the 12-week Core. A bridge adds two preparation weeks when needed. The selective Fellows extension is a separate 20-week commitment with a higher weekly workload. Core can be completed without continuing to Fellows.
Does every student operate a real robot?
The intended model gives each student assessed turns within supervised team missions. Team bookings are shared; they are not continuous individual control. The cohort offer will state the access entitlement and makeup arrangements before enrollment.
Do we need to buy a robot or powerful computer?
The planned remote-lab model provides the physical equipment and hosted tools. Students need a suitable laptop, browser and tested internet connection. Review the final technical checklist before purchasing anything.
Can students join from Uzbekistan or another country?
Uzbekistan is the planned initial launch market. Additional locations depend on class times, language support, connectivity and capacity. Each cohort will identify the locations it can serve; availability is not automatic in every country.
Practical questions and outcomes
What language are classes taught in?
The initial curriculum plans Uzbek or Russian support alongside technical English vocabulary. Actual teaching language and available support will be stated for each cohort. The website's language options do not mean every class is taught in all three languages.
Will beginners work with humanoid robots or drones?
The initial Core is built around robot-arm tasks. Humanoid experiences are a conditional advanced extension, not a guaranteed Core activity. Drone flight and other specialist platforms require separate validated programs.
What happens when internet or equipment problems interrupt a mission?
The confirmed cohort offer will explain safety and recovery arrangements for interrupted sessions. Physical missions affected by verified infrastructure problems will be handled under that published policy. Simulation or replay will not be recorded as completed physical robot access.
What will my child receive at the end?
Students who meet the approved completion requirements receive a portfolio of assessed work and an ON Robotics completion record identifying the skills and equipment actually used. This is a program completion record, not a promise of an accredited qualification or professional readiness.
Does the program guarantee a university place or Silicon Valley job?
No. Its purpose is to develop and assess skills, help students explore an interest and create evidence of learning. University admission, employment, internships, travel and immigration outcomes are separate decisions outside the program's control.
How much does it cost?
Next-cohort tuition will be published when registration opens. Before payment, families will receive the full price, included services and applicable enrollment terms. Any bridge, advanced program or travel cost will be identified separately unless included expressly.
Does my child have to appear in promotional videos?
Our proposed policy separates learning from publicity. Identifiable student media would be published only with the relevant permission, and declining publicity would not affect assessment. The final privacy and media policy will be available before participation.
