Beyond the 12 weeks

The strongest students go further.

Every student finishes the Core program with a portfolio. Students who show strong understanding and safe working habits are invited to the Fellows pathway — and the top 10 each year are offered a summer at our lab in Mountain View.

Fellows pathway

A continuation for students who have completed the Core program and been invited.

  • Advanced projects: ROS 2, computer vision, remote systems
  • Supervised humanoid robotics
  • Competitions and Demo Day team lead roles
  • Mentoring from the lab team
  • Approx. 20 weeks, online, with scheduled lab access

Summer in Mountain View

Two weeks at the ON Robotics lab in Silicon Valley for the top 10 students of the year.

  • Daily hands-on time with the lab's robots
  • Build and present a project in person
  • Events and sessions alongside local high-school students

Program fee and scholarship details are published on selection. Selected students receive a 50% scholarship; families cover the remaining fee, travel and visa arrangements.

How selection works

  1. 01

Complete the Core program. All 12 weeks, all missions submitted.

  2. 02

Be assessed on the work. Safety, technical skill, mission performance, data and model quality, and how clearly the student explains their work.

  3. 03

Fellows invitation. Students above the bar are invited to continue. The number of places depends on lab capacity.

  4. 04

Top 10 of the year. At the end of each year, the 10 highest-assessed students across all cohorts are offered a place in the Mountain View summer program.

  5. 05

Family confirmation. Families confirm, arrange travel and visas, and pay the remaining fee.

For parents

The Fellows pathway and the summer program are invitations, not entitlements. We will tell you in writing what your child's assessment showed and, if invited, exactly what the next step costs and requires. ON Robotics provides the invitation, the program and the supervision; the family is responsible for travel, insurance and visa applications. ON Robotics cannot influence visa decisions.

ON Robotics does not guarantee university admission, employment, internships, travel or visa outcomes. Invitations depend on assessed work and on lab capacity.
